CAPITOLO 1
CONGREGAZIONE DELLE SUORE DELLA REGATITA’ DI MARIA
“ Io pensavo a te prima ancora di formarti nel ventre materno.
Prima che tu venissi alla luce io ti avevo gia’ scelto,
ti avevo consacrato profeta
per annunziare il mio messaggio alle nazioni” ( Ger 1:5)
1 Natura della Congregazione
La Congregazione delle Suore della Regalità di Maria è frutto di un carisma particolare che lo Spirito Santo ha conferito alla Chiesa attraverso il fondatore[1], don Carlo Della Torre , il quale raduno' intorno a se' donne generose di donarsi totalmente a Dio. Esse hanno risposto alla chiamata professando i tre consigli evangelici della castita' poverta' e obbedienza per collaborare con la Chiesa a realizzare il Piano della Salvezza.
2 Forma della Congregazione
La Congregazione delle Suore della Regalità di Maria, (S.R M.) nome in lingua inglese "THE SISTERS OF THE QUEENSHIP OF MARY"[2] ( S.Q.M ) e' sotto la speciale cura dell’Arcivescovo di Bangkok.[3] Le Suore professano i voti di castita' poverta' e ubbidienza, liberamente accogliendo la chiamata del Signore e vivendo in comunita'.
3 Carisma della Congregazione
Il carisma della Congregazione delle Suore della Regalità di Maria si manifesta nelle religiose che vivono in comunita’ come vere sorelle, al servizio di Dio e della Chiesa, avendo come modello la Santa Famiglia di Nazaret, imitando il fondatore don Carlo Della Torre.[4]
4 Spirito della Congregazione
Lo spirito della Congregazione è dato dall’esperienza e dalla vita del Fondatore nelle caratteristiche più evidenti, che egli ha instillato nelle sue Figlie. Si possono cogliere particolarmente i seguenti tratti: l’ardente devozione all’Eucaristia; l’amore e la devozione speciale alla Madonna, l’allegria; la giovialità in un’atmosfera di carità e umiltà, il rispetto reciproco.
Le Sorelle realizzeranno pienamente lo spirito della Congegazione seguendo l’esempio della Famiglia di Nazaret.
Questa è l’eredità spirituale che il Fondatore ha lasciato alla Congregazione come norma di vita. Le suore si impegnano a conservare perennemente , a consolidare e a potenziare questa eredita'.[5]
5 Missione della Congregazione
La Congregazione delle Suore della Regalità di Maria è fondata al fine di rinnovare e estendere il Regno di Dio con la preghiera e con varie forme di attività, sotto la protezione di Maria Regina Immacolata, sia tra coloro che professano altre fedi che tra le famiglie gia' cristiane e in particolare tra i giovani, specialmente i più poveri, in collaborazione con la Chiesa locale.
6 La Patrona della Congregazione[6]
La Congregazione delle Suore Suore della Regalità di Maria ha avuto il suo inizio sotto la protezione e la guida di Maria Regina Immacolata.
Per questo ciascuna suora si consideri figlia dell’Immacolata, ritenga Maria quale principale patrona della Congregazione e viva seguendo fedelmente l’esempio delle sue virtù; avrà inoltre una particolare devozione a San Giuseppe, esempio di fedeltà e solerzia nel lavoro, imitando il Fondatore don Carlo Della Torre.
7 Legame con la Congregazione Salesiana
La Congregazione delle Suore della Regalità di Maria è legata alla Congregazione Salesiana sia per il suo Fondatore che per lo spirito che questi ha trasmesso ai suoi membri. La Congregazione ambisce ricevere, nei limiti del possibile, la formazione spirituale e religiosa da sacerdoti salesiani, per poter conservare lo spirito del Fondatore.

Chapter 1
The Sisters of the Queenship of Mary
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." (Jer. 1:5)
1. Birth of the Congregation
The SQM Congregation is the fruit of a special gift the Holy Spirit bestows upon the Church through Rev. Fr. Carlo della Torre, the founder,[1] to gather girls who are generous in dedicating their whole lives in answering God’s call by making vows to observe the evangelical counsels, namely: chastity, poverty and obedience, in order to collaborate with the Church for the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan.
2. Status of the Congregation
The name of this Congregation is “The Sisters of the Queenship of Mary”[2] with S.Q.M as its abbreviation under the special jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Bangkok.[3] Members make freely the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience in response to the call of God and live a life in communion.
3. Charism of the Congregation
A group of religious person coming together to live a fraternal life in order to serve God and the Church by imitating the Holy Family of Nazareth is the charism given by Fr. Carlo della Torre, the founder.[4]
4. Spirituality of the Congregation
The spirituality of the Congregation derives from the outstanding model that the founder had been trying to cultivate into the heart of each member. This is clearly manifested in the fervent love to the Holy Eucharist, prayers and work, special love and devotion to the Blessed Mother Mary, cheerfulness and close fraternal relationship under the atmosphere of love, humble and mutual respect. In order to achieve these objectives they must imitate the example of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Such spirituality is the spiritual treasure that the congregation has inherited from the founder. All must faithfully maintain this heritage and perseveringly make them ever greater progress.[5]
5. Mission of the Congregation
The SQM Congregation is founded with the objectives to renew and extend the Kingdom of God through prayers and activities under the guidance of Our Blessed Mother Mary amidst the non-Christians and Christian families including the young, especially the poor, through a close collaboration with the local Church.
6. Patroness of the Congregation[6]
The SQM Congregation began under the patronage and guidance of the Immaculate Mary. Hence, each sister must be convinced that she is Mary’s daughter by holding her the Patroness of the congregation and must faithfully live her life as Mary did. Besides, the sisters will have special devotion to St. Joseph and follow his life of honesty and hard-working spirit, and imitate the life of Father Carlo della Torre, the founder.
7. Relationship with the Salesian Congregation
Since the SQM Congregation has had special relationship with the Salesians both through the founder and the spirituality inherited from him, the SQM congregation therefore desires to receive formation from the Salesian priests as much as possible in order to maintain the spirit of the founder.

Patroness of the Congregation
The SQM Congregation began under the patronage and guidance of the Immaculate Mary.
